The average temperature is 27°C (80º
F), the humidity is quite tolerable, the best
time to travel is during the low season: from
may to december. Bonaire is outside of the
hurricane zone, which makes it an ideal place

There are many flights form Holland.
ALM and KLM fly from Amsterdam twice a week.
From the United States, American Airlines
has flights to Aruba from New York, where
one can take a connection flight to Bonaire.
Air Aruba and ALM make stops in Atlanta and
Miami.
From South America, it is convenient
to fly from Caracas. Also from Bogotá via
Aruba or and Curacao.
From the region, fly ALM from Curacao, Aruba,
Jamaica, and St Maarten. Boarding tax is US$
10, except in Curacao and St Maarten which
is US$ 6. There are no boat ferries to the island. |

Once in Bonaire a good way to move around
is to rent a car. There are many rental car
companies. Only for those 21 years and older.
The average daily cost is of US$ 50. Bonaire
does not have public transportation. Taxis
have fixed rates and are a good alternative.
Renting a four-wheel drive vehicle is reccomended
to reach the coast. One can also rent bikes.
The airport is 5 Km. (3 miles) from the centre
of town. |
