Honduras has a very good highway system. It is considered the best in Central America. There are daily buses to all tourist destinations.
Taxis are another way to move around, but most lack meters. It is important to arrange a price before departing.
Another option is renting a car. There are car rental agencies in all major cities. This can be quite expensive and out of the main highways the roads are of dirt and become extremely muddy when it rains.
The only train is in the north and it travels from San Pedro, Pueto Cortes, and Tela.
