DIVING |
|
| |
Diving
in Noronha is from boat. Time to the dive
sites is between 2 and 30 minutes. The
water is warm and clear. Even diving without
a wet suit is possible, although wearing
a full lenght 3mm is recommended for comfort.
The 17 dive sites are very different from
one another and their underwater formations
make easy identification possible.

SOME
FAMOUS DIVE SITES |
|
| |
 |
| Naufrágio
do Porto
Depth:
9 meters (39 ft)
This
was a Greek cargo ship sunk in the
20’s, located in the harbor
area, a couple of hundred meters
away from the dock. It is an excellent
dive site for night diving. Marine
life is abundant and, since it is
a shallow dive, color can be appreciated
at its best. Even though the structure
of the wreck is dismantled, some
penetration is still possible.

allows an impressive dive. It starts
on the sand with large fish, gradually
ascending to 20 meters (66 ft) of
depth.
|
|
| Buraco
das Cabras
Depth:
15 meters (50 ft)
Odd looking volcanic rock formations
are surrounded by small schools

Huge cavern with an easy access.
It is located on a rocky wall covered

by the surge. The cavern is in a
shallow area. On this dive you can
see spotted rays, angel fish, turtles
and sharks. |
|
| Corveta
