You can enjoy a visit to Pohnpei year round. Between the months of July and November it is a bit more humid but the weather is warm all year round. The average temperatures are 27°C (81°F) and 21°C (70°F).

There is no distinct high or low season so you will not need to be concerned about tourist crowds.

There are three ways to enter the Federated States of Micronesia: from Honolulu, Manila or Guam. Flights arrive to these destinations from Australia, Asia and USA. Continental Micronesia has four flights from Guam to Pohnpei via Chuuk and three flights continue to Hawaii on the island hop connection. There are three flights from Hawaii to Pohnpei on the island hop connection that goes on to Guam.

If you plan on hoping around the islands of Micronesia, there are different options depending on the city of origin. Departure tax from Pohnpei is $10.

TRANSPORTATION (WITHIN POHNPEI)
